Our Story

Theo’s Microcreamery is a family-owned ice cream shop that’s been making ice cream in Normal since 2021.

We started Theo’s because we love ice cream and we care about how it’s made. To us, ice cream isn’t just something sweet you grab and forget about. It’s tied to memories. It’s something you share with people. It’s a reason to slow down for a minute!

All of our ice cream is made in-house in small batches. Our bases are made using natural ingredients and without artificial dyes. Many of our add-ins are made in-house without dyes as well, alongside thoughtfully sourced ingredients we use to build our flavors. Some flavors are inspired by the season, some by classics we love, and some by ideas that just sound fun. Flavors rotate often, and while favorites do come back, there’s usually something new to try.

Theo’s is meant to be a place that feels easy to walk into. Families, kids, friends, first dates, dogs on the patio, everyone’s welcome. Whether you’re stopping by for a cone, grabbing a pint to take home, or ordering from the doggie window, we want it to feel like a place you’re glad you came to!

We also love doing special things throughout the year, like Ice Cream for Breakfast, Joy Scouts, Meltfest, Date Night Boxes, and other seasonal offerings. It keeps things fun, and it gives people something to look forward to.
